The plant suffered a failure in a single core medium voltage cable termination at their facility. The cables underwent x-ray inspection for NDT and Root Cause Analysis by a power cable SME, enabling the development of a corrective action plan, training needs assessment & delivery, and fault mitigation strategies for existing & planned infrastructure.
A full EMI test was undertaken on three steam turbine generators to identify and locate evidence of discharge. The project scope further included providing corrective action recommendations and routine maintenance plan development.
